Taxi left the starting blocks with no delay leaving the other two for dead, Ronaldo the Great stopped for a shit and Tess stayed for a smell. When they decided to run to the finish line it was Tess that showed what could be in store for race two with Ronaldo the Great coming in a disappointing third.

This was the most even race of the three all leaving the starting line at the same time. Tess came across the line first with a slightly overweight Taxi coming second. Third was day dreamer Ronaldo the Great.

This race was the decider. Tess now getting the true coursing whippet hunger for racing and blew the other two completely out of the water Ronaldo the Great came second and Taxi laid down and had a kip. We think Dickie calling the wrong name was the main cause.

Pictured left is a delighted Kristian "Julian" Clayfield with undisputed champion, Tess. Although an Italian Show Whippet, she certainly showed the others a clean set of paws.

Today saw the much talked about and eagerly anticipated The Whippets of Alcoa Trial Syndicate (T.W.A.T.S) head to head title decider. Overseen by Gareth "Baby Donk" Davies, owner of pace setter Belle the Lurcher. The contest was to be a three heat "round robin", fought out between Tess, owned and trained by Kristian "Julian" Clayfield, Dickie "Gonad" Lucas with Taxi and the new kid on the block, Ronaldo the Great, owned and trained by Mr Michael "Razor" Isaac. Mike commented that the heavy going hampered his dog and also said " I can't stress strongly enough that Ronaldo the Great is only seven months old". "Really, he should not be racing at such an early age, but come the drier weather, I'm sure he'll turn this minor setback around".
